The animated education series My Better World by the independent media production company Fundi Films is available in English, Swahili, Hausa and Somali and has been selected by the 2020 Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

Malenga Mulendema's Mama K's Team 4, about four teen girls and a retired secret agent from futuristic Lusaka who try to save the world, is available on Netflix.

The African Animation Network has launched a call for content for the first African-owned 24hr Kids’ animation and pop culture thematic channel.

Afrikatoon in Côte d'Ivoire has collaborated with the Goethe-Institut Abidjan. The KÄ animation studio, also based in Abidjan, was awarded the 2019 Sisley prize.
